Favorite Hockey Destination

My Favorite Rink to Have Ever Played In

This is the American Bank Center Arena located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The weather was unbeatable, and the arena features a 10,000-seat capacity, with the ice rink serving as the centerpiece for NAHL hockey action. While I played for the Colorado Grit in the NAHL, we would travel here about two times a year, and it was unbelievable. They wouldn’t always pack the house, but when they did, it was a sight to see. Playing in front of almost 10,000 fans is surreal and might be one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.

Personal Reflections on Hockey

Taking three years after high school to play hockey was an important step in my development both on and off the ice. It gave me the opportunity to grow as a player, compete at a higher level, and ultimately put myself in a position to play at the college level. I got to travel around the country and play teams and see things that I would have never seen if I didn’t play hockey. Living away from home and committing fully to the sport taught me discipline and how to handle challenges. Looking back, it was a valuable experience that helped shape who I am today and prepared me for the next stage of my career.
